Steven Rankin Promoted
Steven Rankin has been promoted to Code Enforcement officer.
He has worked for the City of Stilwell for more than two years in the Maintenance Department, earning Employee of the Year his first year.
Community Development Director Ross Johnson, his supervisor, said Rankin is great to work with.
“Steven earned Employee of the Year doing a great job in the maintenance department for the city prior to being promoted to Code Enforcement,” said Johnson. “He has no problem helping where help is needed in other areas as well. I thought Steven would be a great asset to the city as a code enforcer with the work ethic he brings on a daily basis. He takes pride in being a part of helping maintain and improve the City of Stilwell overall.”

As Code Enforcement officer, his responsibility is to enforce city ordinances for everyone in Stilwell city limits.
“I like making a difference in setting standards for our city,” said Rankin.
He also enjoys his job.
“I work with good people. And I know that hard work and dedication can bring opportunity,” Rankin said. “And I like working in Stilwell, it's home.”
Something about Rankin not everyone knows is, “I’m related to Pretty Boy Floyd.”
He also encourages people to take pride in their hometown and responsibility for their property and community.
“Take pride in your city, it's the capital of our county, and surrounding cities that sometimes look down on Stilwell. I believe it's the true heart of Cherokee Nation,” Rankin said.
