The 2nd annual Free City-wide Yard Sale

The 2025 Free City-wide Yard Sale will be held Saturday, Oct. 11. This is an opportunity for citizens to hold a yard sale at home, with friends, at church or an organization, with no permit required, so it’s free. The sale can be held at a public location with written permission from the property owner or business.

The sale can extend from Friday thru Sunday, Oct. 10-12 in city limits only.

As always, those holding a sale will want to be good stewards of the town and clean up the leftover items at the end of the sale. There are businesses in town that appreciate donations of gently used items.

Mayor Jean Ann Wright reminds citizens this is the one time a yard sale can be held without a permit.

“I’ve been to several city-wide yard sales and think this is a great way for people to enjoy a variety of opportunities to shop, visit with friends and enjoy a morning or day,” Wright said. “And what a great way to clean out a closet or garage.”
